How to Have A Perfect Romantic Getaway

However, one sure-fire way to reignite the spark is by taking a holiday. A break away from the norm has several benefits. The first is you can concentrate on each other instead of emails and what you’re going to cook for dinner. Planning and taking a romantic break is a wonderful way to spend time with your partner. It will also help you reconnect. The first decision is deciding where you want to go. This obviously has to be based on your interests. Once you have decided where you will be heading why not consider adding some or all of our suggestions below into the mix? We hope they will ensure you have the perfect romantic getaway.

Get personal

There are all the cliche romantic gestures like a rose petal covered bed or a bottle of champagne waiting for you when you arrive in your hotel room. Which are all lovely of course, but not very personal. If you want to make your break the perfect romantic getaway then get personal. Make the trip all about your partner or you as a couple. Ensure that you both leave feeling that the getaway was all about you. This will guarantee you will feel reconnected and refreshed when you return home.

The list of things you could do is endless. Only you know your partner and your relationship. Therefore you know what personal touches you can add to make the getaway truly romantic.

Plan some surprises

Doesn’t everyone love surprises? The feelings of happiness and joy when we receive a surprise is amazing. Therefore why not give someone else, in this case, your partner a surprise and allow them to experience those feelings. Surprises don’t have to be grand gestures they can be small and meaning full. Some small surprises which can make your perfect romantic getaway even more wonderful include writing your partner a letter/poem highlighting all the things you love about them, running them a bubble bath or giving them a massage.

However, if you have the cash to splash the options are endless. For example, you could book a table at the fanciest restaurant at your holiday destination (and pay of course). Other options include organising a private beach picnic complete with all your/their favourite food, hiring a boat and skipper for the day (nearby water dependant of course) or simply upgrade the room at the hotel you are staying at for a more luxurious stay. Surprises are a great way so show people you care and can really help lift someone else’s mood – who wouldn’t want to do that?
