July 2017 – Monthly Round Up

July 2017 – Monthly Round Up

Hello, August! Seriously, where did July go? Considering we have not left the county it has flown by. The weather here has been iffy, to say the least. It seems to be glorious sunshine whilst I’m in the office and chucking it down at the weekends – NOT FAIR. We hope you have had a great July, have you had your summer holiday yet? We’d love to hear from you if you have and if not please let us know where you are heading, we are always looking for holiday inspiration 🙂

We haven’t been anywhere this month, how boring eh? However, we have had a fantastic month catching up with friends and family after being in the States for a month. We’ve also somehow fallen into freelancing which was never really on the cards prior to last month. This month alone we have written for three major travel companies. None of which have been published yet but when they have been, we’ll share them. As we are not ‘writers’ we would love our reader’s feedback.

Upcoming Travels

Hamburg, Germany

Yep, we’re heading back to Germany for the second time this year to celebrate Mr ESLT’s birthday. We will be working with Tourismus Nürnberg, who are kindly hosting our trip. We aim to explore none stop whilst we are there to find the best attractions, bars and restaurants the city has to offer – it’s a tough job!

Travel Planning

A month of no travel has resulted in a lot of travel being planned including:

Vicky will be returning to Ghent with a handful of other bloggers on a press trip at the end of September/beginning of October. We love Belgium, especially Ghent so fingers crossed for a great trip. It will also be the first flight she has ever taken on her own and as a nervous flyer could potentially be the last!

Abu Dhabi

Our next biggy is a week in Abu Dhabi at the end of November/beginning of December. Our main plan is to do nothing but relax by the pool, but knowing us, we’ll only be able to manage a couple of days of not doing anything. So, if you have any recommendations/tip etc regarding Abu Dhabi please send them our way.

Even though we have been to Amsterdam 10 times, we are eager to get a weekend away booked in as soon as possible. It may not be until December but that isn’t a problem, especially as the Christmas markets will be up and running.

Montenegro, Croatia and Albania

Because we are super organised, ok maybe anal, we have booked our main holiday for 2018. Yep, we’ll be heading primarily to Montenegro, which looks beyond gorgeous, with side trips into Croatia and Albania. We are very excited already, just 11 months to wait!!!

We’ve smashed last year’s stats!

Celebration Time!

The fact that anyone reads our blog apart from Chris’ mum still blows my mind. So in mid-July when we smashed last year’s stats proved a great reason to celebrate. THANK YOU!!!!

You’re welcome. I’m planning in going to Japan soon. There are some many places I would like to visit, not sure if I’ll have enough time.

Love how you incorporate both national and international travel. I tried to click on your link for Travel Toiletries 2 Go but nothing happened, the link just stopped. Thanks for your great read. Would be interested in knowing how you grew your audience.

Hi there and thank you for your comment. The link seems to be working at our end but here it is again – https://traveltoiletries2go.co.uk 🙂
I’ll be honest our blog is very much a hobby, but we work hard and have dedicated a lot of time to it over the past 2 1/2 years. I think it’s been more luck than judgement 🙂
