Canada: Never Been? Here Are Some Reasons Why You Should

A trip to North America has to be on the cards if you have never been before. A lot of people tend to choose the United States as their destination. But if you have been there and done that, then look at little more north of the border. Canada is a fantastic destination for a holiday. The country is huge; full of different things to do. As well as great food and different cultures. How many countries have different languages within them? If you have never been before, there are lots of reasons why you should plan a trip. Here are some of the reasons:

Witness the Scenery

Canada is one of the most breathtaking countries to visit. The natural beauty that it has is like no other. There are stunning lakes and national parks to explore. Then there are the rocky mountain areas, full of adventure and scenic drives. You can’t plan a trip to Canada, without planning a trip to Niagara Falls. It is a must and is just so stunning. Even better if you can visit when there is an event on or when the weather is good.

The Abundance of Activities

There truly is something for everyone in Canada. You could ski or snowboard in the winter time. Canada has some of the best skiing and winter sports in the world. So if you are a keen skier or even a newbie, it is a great destination to choose. There are lots of other outdoor activities too. You could hike, kayak, go boating or even fishing. There are whitewater adventure trips that you could book, as well as camping trips. There are great things to do for those that prefer city breaks too. Canada has some fabulous cities to visit, full of culture, museums, great restaurants and shopping.

Festivals and Events Galore

Because there are so many fabulous cities in Canada, there are lots of events and festivals that happen. They are go-to destinations to visit, so people know festivals and events will attract even more people. Take the Celebration of Light festival in Vancouver. It is one of the largest firework competitions in the world. Even if you are not going to compete, as you can probably imagine, it is a great festival to visit. There are music festivals, film festivals, carnivals and even a tulip festival. Again; there is something for everyone in Canada. So be sure to look up if there is anything going on before you book a trip.

The Varied Climate

Canada isn’t known as a typical beach destination, so it’s not like it is scorching hot all year round. It does have a varied climate, which for a lot of people is a good thing. You do get all of the seasons in Canada. You get snow in winter and sunshine in summer. Don’t just think that it is cold all year round! It gets to a nice temperature, making it a good destination for a family holiday or trip.

Canada is amazing, and each corner of it is so different from each other! 2017 is a great time to go since we’re celebrating 150th birthday all year long 🙂

A year long party sounds like the kind of place I want to be. Hopefully we’ll be able to squeeze in a cheeky break to Canada as soon as possible. I’m desperate to explore!
