No matter what meal you’re looking for, you can get it at Gourmandise. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. We suggest the Brioche French Toast for breakfast. It has fresh fruit on top and a divine Crème anglaise. No matter what time of day it is, you have to get a few pastries to go. If you want a couple of recordations for your first visit, get a creme brulee and a coconut macaroon. But they are all delicious and there’s something for even the pickiest eaters. We guarantee you won’t be able to leave with just one!

The Roof Restaurant

The Roof Restaurant is the place to go for any special occasion. The incredible view over Temple Square can’t be beaten — located on the 9th floor, you can see the whole city skyline, with an up-close view of the Salt Lake Temple. As for the menu, it changes daily, but you can expect hearty favourites like prime rib, tri-tip steak, salads, cheese, desserts and more. We recommend you plan a visit here in advance, though. The Roof Restaurant strongly recommends making a reservation.

Known for their Mediterranean cuisine, Spitz has everything you need for a splurge night. You’ll find fries, falafel, and Doner on their menu. In fact, they have something the whole family will love. Their street cart fries are a firm favourite with repeat visitors, as well as their fresh salads. You can find them on 35 Broadway for lunch and dinner.

Red Iguana

If you’re craving Mexican food, the Red Iguana is the place to go. This restaurant is a local’s favourite. You usually have to wait in a pretty long queue to even be seated. But don’t worry, the food and service are fast, and the cuisine is worth the wait. Authentic Mexican favourites are what they’re known for, but they also have more Americanised dishes, too. Red Iguana is so popular, they have opened a second restaurant just a few blocks away. The original is on 736 W North Temple.

The Garden Restaurant

Located in the heart of downtown Salt Lake City, this airy lunch spot is a breath of fresh air from the busy city. You can find hearty favourites like their famous turkey pot pie, burgers, steak, salmon and pasta. Whatever you do, you have to try the fried pickles. You’ll be hooked!  If you’re meeting with family, co-workers or friends, they are able to accommodate larger groups — just remember to call ahead. The Garden Restaurant is located inside the Joseph Smith Memorial Building on Temple Square.
