Are you and your partner looking to go on a romantic short break? Do you want somewhere unusual to visit? You’ve come to the right place! So many couples do all of the cliche couple trips. You don’t need to visit Paris to have a romantic time! Here are some unusual yet romantic short breaks you and your partner could enjoy, especially with Valentine’s Day coming up:
The Lake District, UK
The lake district has many incredible things to see and do, but how about glamping with a twist in a hobbit hole? It might sound strange, but it’s perfect for those who are fans of JRR Tolkien! You’ll be spending time in award winning surroundings, with views over the incredible Ullswater. There are many amenities nearby too, so you don’t need to worry about having everything you need on hand.
You’ll usually find people looking for romantic breaks taking a trip in Rome, but what about Milan instead? There are stunning cathedrals and buildings to see, as well as funky cocktail bars and the trendy canal district.
When people think of visiting the UK, they think of London. However, Liverpool is known as the city of culture. There are more UNESCO world heritage sites here and many museums. You can also take advantage of the tremendous nightlife! Not forgetting this is the home of The Beatles, so take the Magical Mystery Tour too.
People usually travel to Amsterdam to visit the gorgeous canals, ride bikes, and spend time in the cafes. This means that amazing places like Rotterdam are neglected! In Rotterdam you’ll find museums and galleries, the old harbour, and plenty of other amazing things to see. Plus, it isn’t overrun by quite as many tourists!
You’ve probably never thought about visiting Boston. Maybe you’ve considered New York, LA, Hollywood, or somewhere that sounds a little more glamorous. However, Boston could very well be the perfect romantic short break for you and your partner. Boston has sports, shopping, history and culture and more! You could explore the grounds of Harvard, or enjoy the Red Sox play a game. You’ll have an incredible time in one of the oldest cities in the USA.
Forget Dublin! Couples looking for an unusual yet romantic break should go for Galway. There’s live music, plenty of colorful pubs, and the rugged beauty of Ireland’s wild Atlantic coast will take your breath away.
La Gomera, Canary Islands
Many people haven’t heard of this place, which is exactly why you should visit. You’ll enjoy unspoiled beaches, peace and quiet, family run eateries, and so much more. Just don’t forget your period delay tablets, if needed, if you want to have fun in the sea and really make the most of your trip. Why not go hiking in the El Cedro forest? You could even go exploring the peaceful forgotten mountain villages!
