Caribbean: 7 Reasons Why An Island Retreat Needs To Be On Your Bucket List

7 Reasons Why A Caribbean Holiday Needs To Be On Your Bucket List

The Caribbean is home to scores of beautiful island retreats. People from all over the world descend to the region for rest and relaxation. It’s also a hot spot for those seeking seclusion, adventure and everything in between!
What is it about the Caribbean that entices many of us to visit at least once in our lives? Here are some reasons why you need to add it to your bucket list – we have!

  1. The beaches are stunning

Some people assume that golden sandy beaches are usually packed with hordes of tourists. That might be the case in some parts of the world. But, many Caribbean islands have few tourists. That makes them ideal places for those of you seeking seclusion. And a litter-free experience, of course!

  1. You get to swim with the fishes

And turtles, and other marine mammals! You can experience once in a lifetime opportunities to swim with some of the world’s beautiful marine life.

  1. Luxurious accommodation

Some people pay obscene amounts of money to stay somewhere vaguely luxurious in a city. When you visit the Caribbean, you can enjoy staying in luxury without paying high prices for it.

  1. Plenty of culture

The Caribbean is a melting pot of traditions and cultures from places like Africa and Europe. You can experience first-hand the traditions people in the Caribbean enjoy.

  1. Enjoyable weather

One of the things that are almost guaranteed about staying in the Caribbean is the weather. You can enjoy almost year-round sunshine!

  1. Friendly people

Many Western people find it hard to be friendly to one another. That’s because they are often overworked and stressed out. People living in the Caribbean are laid-back and welcoming in contrast!

  1. Cuisine like you’ve never tasted before

It goes without saying there is plenty of dishes you’ll not have tried in your life. Some of the best ones will be from the Caribbean. Nevis, for example, is famed for its local specialities.

Here here! We love the Caribbean, Jamaica has been our favourite spot so far. And then best thing about the Caribbean in my eyes is the rum 😀
