You know, the stuff that you need to make your trip easier, comfortable and often more enjoyable. Over the years we have travelled to far-flung 5-star resorts one week followed by a cheap European city break the next. But what do all our travels have in common? We like to do it in style! Our stylish, yet practical Scaramanga Canvas Travel Organiser recently joined us on our trip to The Hague. We used it to keep both of our passports and all of our travel documents including itinerary, tickets and other travel related bumf all together in one safe place. We opted for a family size travel wallet to ensure we are prepared for when Mini ESLT joins us on our travels in the (hopefully near) future. By having a bigger wallet means we can keep all the important stuff together, there’s nothing worse than the feeling of not being able to find your passport (gulp!).

The khaki travel organiser is made from waxed canvas combined with top quality and durable Hunter leather complete with an antique style sturdy brass zip. The canvas is hand-dyed in small batches and then waxed. Therefore there are colour variations making each batch unique. Also, the canvas distresses easily. So the more you use it, the more it will look used as creases, folds and distress marks become visible and add to its charm. There is also the option to personalise the travel organiser – 1-4 letters for £10.00, 5-15 Letters for £15.00 and/or a symbol for £5 (each).

Just the sight of this Penelope Hope Pina Colada makeup bag (white pineapple motif on a Chartreuse yellow background) gives us all the summer feels. Even when the weather is terrible outside (as it normally is in the North of England) just spying this makeup bag on the shelf in the bathroom can brighten up our day. Vicky has used this makeup bag during our last two trips (Dubai and The Hague) and can’t sing it’s praises enough.
Not only it colourful (both inside and out) with a funky purple tassel zipper. Also, if you like Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain (see what we did there?), you’re in luck – this makeup bag is waterproof, which is great if you accidentally drop it in the sink (naming no names) or use it near the pool or spa. It’s also large enough to get everything in it she needed, not just makeup but lotions and potions too. There is also a wash bag in the same range if you need something bigger. Sand Free Beach Towel

We recently road tested the Tesalate sand free beach towel on our trip to Dubai. Tesalate is an Australian company who ship their towels worldwide (free shipping included in the price). We even got ours delivered directly to the hotel we were staying at in Dubai without any trouble at all. The idea behind the Tesalate beach towels is that you leave the beach at the beach. How? The exclusive AbsorbLite fabric allows you to simply shake the sand off the towel, even if it’s still wet, before packing it back in its handy pouch.
The towels fold down, meaning they are super easy to travel with, even if you are only travelling with a carry on (always a bonus). They are extremely absorbent (hold over 1 litre of water) and dry really quickly. Making them a great option if you are looking for a lightweight, yet full-size beach travel for your next adventure. It is evident that these towels were designed by travellers for travellers.
The Tesalate beach towels come in a variety of different designs. We opted for the ‘The Swell’ a simple, yet funky blue and white striped towel. However, I’m sure if you check them out you will find one to suit your own taste. There are also double towels which are great for travelling couples (£79). They are twice the size and twice as absorbent. You may be thinking – ‘wow £49 for a beach towel?’ and yes we would tend to agree that neigh on 50 quid is a lot for a towel. But these are great and we highly recommend them.
Pretty Useful Tools Travel Manicure Kit

If you have long nails and would like to look after them while travelling or if you are planning on long term travel and will need to cut your nails while on the road – this Wild & Wolf Pretty USeful Tools Travel Manicure Kit is not only practical but it looks great too. The set comes in ‘Sunset Pink’ and includes three stainless steel tools with pink rubberised grip handles – nail file, fold out tweezers and nail clippers. They are on a handy carabiner which means that you can attach it whatever you fancy, ensuring you don’t misplace it/have it close to hand (or foot as the case may be) when travelling.

We are all for travel mugs, especially now a lot of coffee shops offer you a discount if you use your own recyclable mug. Who doesn’t love saving a few pennies, especially when travelling? So why not drink your morning flat white in style while you’re at it? This Talking Tables Tropical Fiesta Reusable Travel Mug certainly ticks that box. We can’t even look at it without it conjuring up visions of a totally tropical paradise. As the travel mug only costs £10, depending on how much coffee you drink you can soon make your money back while doing your bit for the environment at the same time.

Unless you have been living under a rock recently, it hard not to see how single-use plastic is impacting our planet, especially the oceans and the animals that live in it. Therefore a reusable water bottle is a must. Unless you’re travelling to countries where the tap water is unsafe to drink, there’s no excuse not to do your bit. There are loads of places you can refill around the world from your hotel/hostel to airports and not forgetting a number of tourist sites and attractions. Plus water’s free – what’s not to love about that? This lovely Sara Miller London Toucan Water Bottle is a great choice. It holds 600mls of water and has a screw top.
