Consider Getting Around
Atlanta has a rapid transit rail system. It can quickly get you from the airport to any of its many neighbourhoods. In addition, if you visit Atlanta in the spring, you can enjoy beautiful flowers in one of many pedestrian-friendly neighbourhoods.
For those who prefer to hire a car, it’s a good idea to avoid driving during the Atlanta rush hour. It is more often than not, manic. You’re on holiday, so schedule your activities so you don’t have to travel between 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm.
Also, be sure to take care at oddly angled intersections as visibility can be a problem. If you decide to drive around the city, try to avoid the most dangerous intersections to stay safe, especially if like us, you are not used to driving on the other side of the road.

The city of Atlanta has put in the work to make it one of the most popular tourist destinations in the United States.
You can enjoy a trip to the High Museum of Art. Fans of fine art will appreciate some of the many marble pieces and the paintings of the French masters.
When visiting Atlanta, don’t forget a stop at the World of Coca-Cola for information on the history of this iconic drink and the chance to sample over 60 flavours and varieties of Coca-Cola beverages.
Consider Digging Into History
The city of Atlanta has seen many memorable Americans.
It’s the birthplace of Dr Martin Luther King. The National Center for Civil and Human Rights in Atlanta offers citizens the chance to study the impact of his work. Coretta Scott King established The King Center in his honour downtown. Because of its popularity, booking in advance is advised to ensure you secure entrance.
The William Breman Jewish Heritage Museum offers visitors in Midtown Atlanta access to a permanent Holocaust exhibition featuring stories of local survivors. Visitors can also hike the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park and study the impact the Civil War had on Atlanta.
