Clover Park – MLB
This arena has changed names over the years due to sponsorship deals but, for us, it’ll be known as Clover Park. It was opened in 1988 and has been upgraded and revamped since. It is the spring training home of the Major League Baseball side, the New York Mets. Located in Port St Lucie, you can take in a game on matchday or enjoy a tour of the stadium during opening hours. There’s plenty to see and do here. The capacity at Clover Park is advertised at just over 7,000. Therefore making it one of the smallest in Florida for professional sports. That means you must book well in advance if you are looking for a ticket.
Amalie Arena – NHL
This venue is home to the Tampa Bay Lightning National Hockey League team, and the atmosphere there is electric. Every seat in the house is a good one as the supporters get behind their favourite players. This stadium gives you options as it has been known to host basketball, arena football and even concerts in addition to the host NHL. The current capacity at the Amalie Arena is 21,500 for concerts with a standing area or just shy of 20,000 for NHL fixtures.
Raymond James Stadium – NFL
One of the jewels in the crown of Florida sports venues we have the National Football League venue. This stadium is home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and on game day, it is often packed to capacity. The Tampa attraction can hold more than 65,000 spectators after being increased in 2015. If that’s not impressive enough, the capacity can be extended to 75,000 seats when needed. That means there should be no trouble getting a ticket to cheer on the Bucks when you are in town. In addition to the games, there are stadium tours, concerts and more.
FTX Arena – NBA
Sports fans may be more familiar with this stadium in its former name as the American Airlines Arena, but it’s another that has changed due to a shift in sponsorship. It’s the home of the successful National Basketball Association team Miami Heat. If you get yourself a ticket for the next big match, you will see some of the top players in the world in action. The NBA has a global following, and the stadiums don’t come much better than this one for atmosphere and excitement. Opened in 1999 at the cost of over 210 million dollars, it can hold almost 20,000 basketball fans and has also been the venue for many famous concerts.
DRV PNK Stadium – MLS
Inter Miami are the latest addition to MLS, but the team is already world-famous due to its connection to David Beckham. They play their home matches at DRV PNK Stadium – pronounced Drive Pink – which has a capacity of 18,000. You’ll find this venue in Fort Lauderdale, and being opened in 2020, it’s the most modern on this list.
