Houston, Texas, has been in the news recently because of the unprecedented flooding it has suffered due to Hurricane Harvey, which has turned streets into rivers, damaged a lot of property, and led to lost lives. At the moment, Houston most certainly does have a problem. However, like the states affected by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Houston will bounce back to its former glory and become the tourist hotspot it was prior to Harvey’s devastating visit.
If you’re planning on visiting, remember to book your Houston hotel well in advance as it’s a busy city and tourists flock to it all year round. With hot, humid summers running from May to August and mild winters between the months of November and February, there really isn’t a bad time to visit. Houston is brimming with attractions for all the family and for people with a range of interests and varying budgets. Here are our top five things to do in Houston.
