Making Tracks: See As Much Of The World As You Can

Growing up, many people have grand aspirations to travel the world. Unfortunately, some people feel that they do not have the time or funds to fulfil these aspirations and therefore never travel. However, there are several ways in which you can travel within budget and time restrictions. If you want to travel but feel that you are unable to, hopefully this post will help you out. Here are a couple of suggestions on how you can see the world even if cash and time are limited.

Design your own trip (perfect for those on a budget)

A lot of people like to take their travel plans into their own hands. This means avoiding travel agents and package deals. Instead, building the trip yourself based on what you want and what you are able to do. This could save you loads of money when it comes to flights and accommodation and, it could also enable you to travel much further. If you’re prepared to forego nice hotels and go for hostels; you’ll find that you can visit multiple cities/countries for the price of one package holiday. Also, some hostels offer private rooms with en suite bathrooms if the idea of sleeping in a dormitory puts you off staying in one.

These sorts of trips are popular with backpackers and as most people are in the same position, they are a great way of making new friends and potential travel companions. As an example, let’s look at Europe – you could take a flight to France, where you will find loads of hostels. Why not spend a couple of days exploring Paris in the North, before moving South to the Alps. Carrying on South, you’ll find Italy; a country steeped with rich history and not forgetting the amazing food. You could also visit Spain, Switzerland, Luxembourg or Belgium, all of which share a border with France. Europe is a great place for this sort of travelling because it’s so vast. With a lot of countries sharing borders making it easy to travel between them and making Europe one of the best destinations for this sort of trip.

Take a cruise (perfect for those who want to see more)

A lot of people love the beauty of a cruise when it comes to travelling the world. This is a great option for people who have a bit more cash to splash; but still don’t have very much time on their hands. Cruises can take you to lots of different countries whist travelling in luxury. Finding the perfect cruise package is very easy too. You can find loads of handpicked cruises on the Internet; with hundreds of deals available to inspire you. Most cruises focus on a region or specific group of countries, but if you’re prepared to pay a premium; you can travel most of the world this way.

Just imagine spending the day soaking up the sun and visiting historical landmarks in the beautiful city of Athens, Greece before setting off by sea and waking up the next morning and finding yourself in one of the many beautiful Greek cities such as Katakolon. Here you could bask in the crystal clear waters and wander around the picturesque seaside town. Greece is a great place for this sort of trip because it has loads of Islands surrounding it, most if not all, with many historical monuments and places, so you’ll never be short on things to do. From there, you could make your way to Kotor in Montenegro, before spending a day at sea either relaxing or taking advantage of the facilities on board your cruise ship. Going on a cruise like this allows you to see so many places in a short space of time.

A lot of people struggle to plan or take long trips; but if you can, they are definitely worth it. Unless you work for yourself, you should be able to book long periods of time from work. If you know when you’ll be travelling in advance, getting the time off can be easier. Therefore, allowing you to take that trip that you have always wanted to. Getting to see as many places as possible can make you feel much more satisfied and content that you got the most out of your break.

Hopefully, this will give you the inspiration you need to get out there and explore, if previously you thought you couldn’t. There are many places that have been relatively untouched by people or, if you like being around people; there are also lots of places that are lively and bustling to enjoy. But, you won’t know exactly where you love the most until you’ve been there. With this, all you’ve got left to do is pack!

Thank you. I think that is so true, it’s just a case of stretching your budget as far as it will go and if that means sacrifices along the way, then in my option so be it 🙂

Some great observations. I have to say my preference is to travel to where I want to go and then potter around looking and I generally find a place stay. I usually travel my motorcycle though, so I have camping ⛺️ gear which gives me another option. Have often found great places to stay without even looking. Nice read?
