England: 20 Halloween Activities and Festivals in Yorkshire 2020

Pick Your Own Pumpkin, Yorkshire

Now the kids are back at school and nursery, it puts an end to summer. As the nights become darker and we edge into autumn, it has made us think about the next big thing in the kid’s calendar. Normally it would be Hull Fair (a large travelling funfair), which visits our nearest city for one week every October. However because of COVID, this year it’s been cancelled. Therefore, Halloween is the next biggy and one we are looking forward to a lot. One of the main elements and a generally fun thing to do, regardless of your age, is to carve pumpkins. Yes, you can go to your local supermarket or garden centre, but where’s the fun in that? Therefore, if like us you would rather pick your own and live in Yorkshire, we have put together a list of 20 Halloween activities and festivals In Yorkshire

Last year we didn’t want to go all out with the girls as it was the first Halloween they had been with u. Also as they were (and still are) relatively little. Everything was still new for both them and us. Therefore, the last thing we wanted to do was scare them silly simply by doing ‘normal’ things like wearing costumes and trick or treating. However, what a difference a year makes. They are older, definitely more settled with us and are in fact looking forward to Halloween. Therefore, this year we are going all out (or at least hoping to unless COVID spoils Halloween for us too). The first step is of course picking and carving pumpkins! So, here are 20 Halloween activities and festivals In Yorkshire 2020.
