A couple of months ago we were sent a couple of giant (which are roughly the same size as a ‘normal’ beach towel -Size: 150 x 90cm) Lifeventure SoftFibre Travel Towels (RRP £24.99) to test out on our recent trip to Dubai. And test them out we did.
Many travel towels come in standard muted colours (black, grey etc) but who’s to say you can’t be stylish when travelling? Therefore, I was very happy to see that these towels come in a number of vivid colours, including the bright blue one sent for Mr ESLT and my hot pink one (I’m like a magpie when it comes to pink things)!!! They are lovely and soft against your skin, unlike many traditional beach towels, especially when they have been washed one too many times and can become quite rough.
As the towels are SoftFibre they fold down to a great, manageable size which meant that they didn’t take up too much room in our suitcases. They even come in a cool and handy ripstop case (approx 19cm x 15cm x 8cm). They also weigh next to nothing, which was perfect as we clipped them to our day sack when we were out and about. We took ours on our trip to Jumeirah Beach was the best decision ever as the sand was simply too hot to sit on.
We were lucky that our hotel supplied towels around the pool however we chose to use our Lifeventure Travel Towels as they were softer to lay on. We also used them to dry off after a dip in the pool and they were also super absorbent, absorbing 9 times it’s weight. They also dried in next to no time, as they dry 8 times faster than a normal beach towel, couple that with the intense Dubai heat, ours dried in minutes.
Each towel is permanently treated with an antibacterial formula to keep it feeling and smelling fresh which was great as we used it every day for a week and it still felt & smelt the same on day 7 as it did day 1. I have since washed our towels since we returned home and they have washed and dried lovely. Some towels, especially big thick ones take ages to dry and if not fully dry can start to smell a bit funky. Not these ones. I have repacked them in their cases ready for our next pool/beach adventure later in the year. I personally do not think that we will ever use conventional beach towels again.
I can see how these towels could be great for a range of different travellers. Having stayed in some dodgy hotels in my time I’d feel more comfortable using this towel then the one provided by the hotel. Also, many hostels, even the ones that say they provide towels actually don’t. So this would be a great travel accessory if that’s the case. Lifeventure Travel Towels also come in different sizes so you can take your pick with regards to the one that would be most suitable for you and your needs.
- We received our towels for on a complimentary basis for review purposes, opinions as always are honest.
